Dallas charter bus rental: what six real 2026 trips cost, and how to book the right bus
A 56-passenger coach from a Far North Dallas office to a Rangers game ran $1,500 this June. A 30-passenger minibus from a Las Colinas hotel to the same ballpark ran $895 in July. A 40-passenger coach to Grandscape for a company night out ran $1,400. Key Takeaways
Real Dallas prices, July and August 2026
A 30-passenger minibus to a Rangers game, $895. A 35-passenger bus for a three-stop downtown loop, $920. A 40-passenger coach for a six-hour corporate evening, $1,400. A 56-passenger coach to Globe Life Field, $1,500 for 5.5 hours or $2,050 as a day rate.
You pay for hours held, not miles
Five hours is the published minimum; a four-hour minimum can occasionally be arranged when the local operator agrees. Billed time runs from first pickup to final drop-off.
Arlington is a five- to six-hour booking
AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field sit 20 to 25 miles from downtown and the North Dallas office corridors, so a game day is never a two-hour transfer.
Size by bags, not just heads
Coaches carry a checked bag plus a carry-on per passenger underfloor. Minibuses have no bays, so gear rides in the seats. Sixteen golfers with sixteen bags needed a 25-passenger minibus.

How much does a charter bus cost in Dallas?
Here is the Dallas price picture in one table, single-day bands first, then what real trips billed this summer.
| Vehicle | Dallas single-day band | What a real 2026 Dallas trip billed |
|---|---|---|
| Minibus, up to 32 passengers | $650 to $1,500 | $895 for 5 hours (30-pax, Rangers game); $1,750 for 10.5 hours (25-pax, golf day) |
| Executive bus, up to 40 passengers | $750 to $1,700 | $920 for a five-hour minimum (35-pax, downtown loop); $1,400 for 6 hours (40-pax, Grandscape) |
| Full-size motorcoach, up to 56 passengers | $950 to $2,050 | $1,500 for 5.5 hours; $2,050 as a day rate (both to Globe Life Field) |
| School bus | $600 to $725 for five hours | $125 to $145 per hour |
Multi-coach jobs and out-of-town trips price above these bands and are quoted per trip. The full breakdown, with four more example quotes, is on our Dallas charter bus cost page.
Five things move a Dallas quote, in the order they matter:
Vehicle class. Within the minibus class, 20 seats or 30 seats is one price band. The step up to a 40 or a 56 is where the price changes.
Hours held. The clock runs from the first pickup to the final drop-off, plus travel from and to the operator’s yard where that applies. Five hours is the published minimum. The $895 Rangers minibus sat right on it; the $1,750 golf day was twice as long and cost twice as much even though its hourly rate was lower.
The date. The State Fair of Texas at Fair Park (late September to mid-October), Cowboys home Sundays at AT&T Stadium, Rangers home dates, graduation weekends and spring conference season all tighten supply. Book those early.
Pickup location. A coach positioned at DFW or Love Field, or out in Frisco or McKinney, costs the operator more dead miles than a downtown or North Dallas pickup, and the quote reflects it.
Distance. Inside the metro, distance barely registers. A 200-mile round trip to East Texas or a run to Austin adds fuel and a long driver day. Trips that push past 10 driving hours need a second driver or an overnight.

What Dallas groups actually book
Game days in Arlington. Three of our six most recent Dallas invoices went to Globe Life Field. The pattern is the same every time: pickup at an office or hotel, 20 to 25 miles to Arlington, the bus parks in the designated lot on the client’s parking pass, the driver stays with the vehicle, return after the final out. Five to six hours. Our Dallas sports team and fan bus charters page has the details, including Cowboys Sundays.
Corporate outings and conferences. Trinity Industries took 40 people from Spring Valley Road to Grandscape on a Tuesday in June for $1,400. A Dallas company took a full coach from the DFW campus corridor to a ballgame on an August day rate for $2,050. Convention groups at the Omni, the Sheraton and the Hyatt Regency run downtown loops on 35-passenger buses. See corporate bus rentals in Dallas.
Airport arrivals. DFW and Love Field group transfers for conference blocks, crews and teams, always whole-vehicle, never per seat. See airport shuttle bus rentals in Dallas.
Schools and universities. Yellow school buses for DISD-style field trips to the Perot, the Sixth Floor Museum and the Zoo; coaches and minibuses for SMU, Baylor and UT Dallas athletics, band trips and campus visits. See school and university bus rentals in Dallas.
Nights out and celebrations. Party buses for Cowboys tailgates, Deep Ellum and Lower Greenville, bachelor and bachelorette loops and wedding guest moves; a 25-passenger party bus dinner run in Fort Worth billed $800 this October. See Dallas party bus rentals.
Sightseeing and day trips. Arts District and museum days, Fort Worth Stockyards, the Arboretum, the State Fair, East Texas golf. See Dallas charter bus rentals for sightseeing.
Employee shuttles. Daily, contracted routes are a different product with different pricing. See shuttle services for employees in Dallas.
How we work, and why it matters in Dallas
Dallas is a big, spread-out market with a lot of good local operators and a lot of game-day demand concentrated in a few square miles of Arlington. We hold relationships with operators across the metro, which is how we fill a Cowboys Sunday or a State Fair weekend when a single yard is sold out. Every operator in our network carries at least $5 million in liability coverage and is FMCSA-registered with a safety record we check before we assign a trip. Metropolitan Shuttle carries its own $5 million umbrella on top. One phone number covers the quote, the contract, the driver’s itinerary and the day-of changes.
What we do not do: sell seats on a shared shuttle, or hand your trip to an operator and step away. If a bus is late to a Dallas pickup at 6 AM, we are the ones you call, and we are the ones who already know.
