Key Takeaways
Houston Charter Bus Costs
Most single-day charter bus trips in Houston run $650 to $1,900, depending on the vehicle and how many hours you keep the bus. A full-size coach rents for $200 to $400 per hour or $1,600 to $3,800 per day on published rate sheets, and real weekday quotes often come in below those ranges. Smaller vehicles cost less.
Transportation Management
We’re a transportation management company. We don’t own the buses; we match each trip to the right vehicle from a vetted network of Houston operators, and one coordinator manages it from quote to drop-off.
25 Years of Experience
25 years in business, GSA-approved for government and municipal use, and a $5 million umbrella policy on top of the $5 million each network operator already carries.
24/7 Booking Support
Same-day quotes, live agents around the clock, and one coordinator assigned to your trip.
Best Time to Book
Our charter bus booking records show March through May generating about a third of Houston’s annual inquiries. If your trip lands in spring, or on a mid-December Saturday, book 2 to 3 months out.

What happens when you book a Houston charter bus?
You call or request a quote, tell us the group size, pickup points, dates, and where you’re going, and we send a customized quote the same day. There are no hidden fees, and the number you’re quoted is the number you plan around.
Once you approve it, we match your trip to a local operator from our Houston network and lock in the vehicle. A coordinator handles the itinerary, the driver briefing, and any changes that come up before and during the trip. Plans shift, meetings run long, flights land late. When that happens, a real person is monitoring your trip and adjusting in real time, not an automated system telling you to leave a message.
For an airport run out of George Bush Intercontinental, a Museum District shuttle, or a school group heading to the Johnson Space Center, the process is the same: one quote, one coordinator, one point of contact from booking to drop-off.
How much does a Houston charter bus cost?
Most single-day trips inside the Houston metro land between $650 and $1,900: roughly $650 to $1,200 for a minibus and $900 to $1,900 for a full-size motorcoach. Here’s the range by vehicle type:
| Vehicle | Capacity | Per hour | Per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| Full-size charter bus | 54-56 | $200-$400 | $1,600-$3,800 |
| Mid-size coach | 35-40 | $170-$250 | $1,400-$2,200 |
| Minibus | 18-25 | $145-$175 | $1,100-$1,600 |
| 12-14 passenger van | 12-14 | $120-$155 | $1,000-$1,500 |
| School bus | up to 44 | $110-$145 | $900-$1,400 |
Those are published ranges, and published ranges describe the whole year. Two trips we actually ran show where real quotes land: in June 2026, a 25-passenger minibus carried a group one way to Bush Intercontinental for $625. In April, we met a United arrival at IAH with a split drop at the rental-car center, then one-way to Great Wolf Lodge in Webster in a 56 passenger coach for $950. Basic itineraries on weekdays in shoulder months price below the published floor. For the full breakdown, including what moves a quote up or down, see our Houston charter bus pricing guide.
Your exact quote depends on a handful of variables:
- Hours of use. More hours on the road means a higher total.
- Distance. Trips well outside the Houston metro area usually cost more.
- Bus type and amenities. Restrooms, entertainment systems, and specialty features move the price.
- Day and season. Weekends, holidays, and big local events push rates up. The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo drew 2.6 million people in 2026 and absorbs much of the region’s coach capacity for three weeks in early March, the most expensive stretch of the Houston calendar. The Chevron Houston Marathon, the Art Car Parade, Juneteenth, Pride Houston, the Texas Renaissance Festival, or a large convention at the George R. Brown have the same effect: buses get booked fast and prices climb.
- Extras. Parking, tolls, driver lodging for overnight trips, and service fee/gratuity all factor in.
We give you the full number up front. No surprise line items after the trip.

When do Houston groups actually book?
Our own booking records, going back through 2023, show a clear Houston rhythm.
Spring is the crunch. March through May accounts for roughly a third of the Houston inquiries we log in a full year, and the monthly pace in those months runs more than double what we see from September through December. That demand stacks on top of the Rodeo, which absorbs coach capacity in early March before school field trip season and spring corporate events even peak.
December is busier than it looks. Fall and early winter are the quietest months for inquiries, but our December calendars fill anyway: corporate holiday parties and university events claim the mid-December Saturdays. In December 2025 alone, our Houston trips included an ExxonMobil holiday event and a University of Houston-Clear Lake group, both booked well ahead. The groups that get the vehicle they want in December are the ones that called in October.
Houston also runs on repeat business. The same organizations come back year after year in our books: United Airlines’ Houston operation each March, University of Houston-Clear Lake each December, cruise groups rolling to the Port of Galveston through the year. When your date collides with someone’s standing annual booking, the calendar beats you, not the price.
So book 2 to 3 months ahead when you can. Demand around Rodeo dates, major George R. Brown conventions, Texans and Astros home games, and graduation season clears the best vehicles first. That said, we handle last-minute requests and same-day quotes, so call even if your trip is coming right up..
