You pay for hours held, not miles
Five hours is the published minimum; a four-hour minimum can occasionally be arranged when the local operator agrees, and the $800 Epic Universe coach is the example. One-way transfers are quoted as flat trips, at or under the minimum: the $500 Sprinter, the $600 minibus and the $700 coach on this page are all one-ways.
Orlando is a value market against the national card, below the Southeast norm
A full-size coach runs $1,800 to $2,850 a day nationally and the Southeast norm for a coach at the five-hour minimum is about $1,250; the two Orlando coach trips on this page billed $700 and $850. Orlando has more motorcoach supply than any market in the Southeast because the parks, the convention center and the cruise port keep it busy year-round, and on an ordinary date that supply is what you see in the number. The calendar is what moves it: convention move-in days at the Orange County Convention Center, spring break, the holiday weeks, bowl week at Camping World Stadium and cruise turnaround weekends at Port Canaveral tighten supply across Central Florida.
Size by bags, not just heads
Coaches carry a checked bag plus a carry-on per passenger underfloor. Minibuses, Sprinters, school buses and party buses have no bays, so luggage rides in the seats. A cruise group with suitcases takes a coach; a group of 25 with carry-ons from MCO fit a minibus.

Multi-coach jobs and out-of-state trips are quoted per trip. A trip that leaves the metro area, to Tampa, St. Augustine, Daytona, the Space Coast or Miami, is a day rate inside the coach or minibus band, not above it. Orlando’s calendar sets the peaks: the big Orange County Convention Center shows and their move-in days, spring break from late February through early April, the holiday weeks at the parks, bowl week at Camping World Stadium, runDisney weekends, and the cruise turnaround weekends at Port Canaveral when every coach on the Space Coast is spoken for by Saturday morning.
Five things move an Orlando quote, in the order they matter:
Trip shape. A one-way transfer bills as a flat trip at or under the minimum: $500 on a Sprinter, $600 on a 25, $700 on a 56. A short round trip with a standby bills as a flat trip too: $850 for the ChampionsGate coach. A program that runs the same loop every day for two weeks bills as a day rate, and the longer the commitment, the lower that rate.
Hours held. The clock runs from the first pickup to the final drop-off, plus travel from and to the operator’s yard where that applies. Five hours is the published minimum; the Epic Universe coach held four hours because the operator agreed to it. The $900 Premier Academy minibus is the other shape: three short legs spread across a Friday, with the bus released between them, billed as a split day rather than twelve hours.
The date. Convention move-in days, spring break, holiday weeks and cruise Saturdays tighten supply. Book four to six weeks out for those dates. The $700 cruise coach was a Saturday morning in July, the busiest cruise day of the week, and it still billed under the Southeast norm because the port-to-airport run is a commodity in this market.
Where the bus has to go to get you. Pickups in Altamonte Springs, ChampionsGate, Kissimmee or Lake Nona carry positioning miles from the operator’s yard. A pickup at a Port Canaveral terminal on a turnaround morning means a coach that left Orlando at dawn.
Vehicle class. Within the minibus class, 20 seats or 35 seats is close to one price band; the two minibus trips on this page were a 20 and a 25. The step up to a 40 or a 56 is where the price changes, and luggage or highway distance is usually what forces it.

What Orlando groups actually book
Corporate programs and team events. Constellation Energy took a 40-passenger coach from the Hyatt Regency Orlando on International Drive to Universal Epic Universe at 7 PM on a Sunday in October, boarded again at 10:30, and was back at the hotel by 11, $800. A corporate group left the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando North in Altamonte Springs on a Sprinter van at 11 AM on a Friday in February for the Disney Cruise Line terminal at Port Canaveral, one way, $500. Sports teams and fan groups. A sports team staying at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate rode a 56-passenger coach to Café Tu Tu Tango on International Drive at 1:15 on a Saturday afternoon in April and started back at 3:30, $850. School and university groups. Premier Academy ran a 20-passenger minibus between Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort three times on a Friday in April, 8:30 AM out, 10:30 AM back, and 8:30 PM out again, $900. A private group of 50 took a school bus from 8978 International Drive to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee at 8 on a Sunday morning in July and was back by noon, $750. Airport and cruise transfers. A group of 25 met a minibus at MCO at 5 PM on Labor Day off JetBlue 1043 and rode to the Hyatt Regency Orlando, $600 one way. A cruise group boarded a 56-passenger coach at the Port Canaveral terminals at 10 on a Saturday morning in July and rode to MCO with its luggage underfloor, $700 one way. Disney and Universal trips. The Premier Academy minibus and the Constellation Energy coach are the two shapes: a school group shuttling between a Universal resort and a Disney resort across a day, and a corporate group spending an evening at Epic Universe. Evenings out and celebrations. A party of 35 took a party bus from the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee to the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World at 6:30 on a Tuesday evening in April and rode back at 10, $995. See Orlando party bus rental.
Employee and program shuttles. A county elections office contracted one Sprinter van to run continuously from 9 AM to 7 PM for fourteen days in August, carrying voters and staff between an overflow lot at a library and the elections office on Della Drive, $1,080 a day. A daily, contracted route between a parking lot and a resort, a hospital or an office is a different product from a charter, priced as a program rather than a trip. A large convention at the Orange County Convention Center books hotel shuttles months ahead, a cruise Saturday at Port Canaveral pulls coaches off the Orlando yards by 6 AM, and a spring-break week sends every minibus in Kissimmee to the parks.
