As with many major metropolitan areas, traveling outside of Oklahoma City’s downtown area is likely to require a car, taxi, or shuttle bus. Although the city is laid out along a grid with well-ordered streets, traffic and a few oddly-named streets may confuse newcomers to the city. As with most cities, the major interstates are crowded and congested during rush hour traffic and “construction season.” The public transportation system in Oklahoma City is decent around downtown, but very limited outside of the most “touristy” areas. For getting around Oklahoma City with convenience and comfort, consider a Metropolitan Shuttle charter bus.
