We used Metropolitan Shuttle for a 1-day tour for a group of 20 people. Everything was simple starting from the reservation process and finishing with the tour itself. The reservation was quick, contract is clear, the price is very competitive. We had a very knowledgeable and polite driver. He was always on time. Communication with all Metropolitan Shuttle personnel was easy throughout the process. I highly recommend this company! Thank...

Memphis Charter Buses

Known across the country as the home of the blues, Memphis is one of the oldest cities in the United States, alive with color and character. Though many tourists come to the city just to see the world-famous Graceland, there’s plenty more to Memphis than “the King.” Though it may be tempting to visit Memphis in the summertime, visitors should know that the heat and humidity can be tough on the unprepared. So consider a spring or fall visit, or book a party bus rental in Memphis, TN to see the city in air-conditioned bliss…. or, better still, both.

Things to See from a Party Bus in Memphis

Memphis is build overlooking the Mississippi River, with Downtown to the West and Midtown to the East. Further east lie East Memphis, and then the suburbs of Bartlett, Cordova, Collierville, and Germantown. Downtown is home to Beale Street, the epicenter of the blues movement, where visitors will find all the clubs and live music. In Midtown, you’ll find Overton Park, the Memphis Zoo, and the Broad Avenue Arts District. East Memphis features more art galleries, the University of Memphis campus, and the Memphis Botanic Garden. Driving is really the only way to get around the city, so why not book a charter bus rental and let someone else drive Memphis while you relax?

National Civil Rights Museum

The National Civil Rights Museum originally began as the Windsorlorraine hotel in 1925. The owner, Walter Bailey, began catering to black guests during the segregation era, and eventually attracted such famous personages as Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, and Ray Charles. The hotel was dedicated as a museum in 1991, and has since become a complex of associated buildings dedicated to tracing the evolution and history of civil rights in Memphis from before the 20th century to present day.

Sun Studio

Hope on a bus rental and discover a piece of Memphis music history. Formerly known as the Memphis Recording Service, Sun Studio was the building where the first ever rock and roll single, “Rocket 88,” was recorded. Since those days, such artists as B.B. King, Howlin’ Wolf, and Junior Parker have recorded there, as well as such greats as Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis himself. The building was reopened in 1987 as a tourist attraction, and continues to attract music lovers of every stripe to this day.

Graceland

Probably the most famous spot in Memphis, Graceland is a national historic landmark and an indelible piece of American pop culture history. Once the home of Elvis Presley, Graceland is a mansion and thirteen surrounding acres, now a museum dedicated to the King of Rock and Roll. It receives over 650,000 visitors a year, making it one of the most-visited houses in the United States. Every year, there is a procession held on the grounds on the anniversary of Elvis’ death, as well as “Elvis Week,” a days-long celebration of art, speakers, and events to look back on Presley’s life. If you’re a fan of Presley, or just of American music history, Graceland is a must-see destination for a day’s trip and a Memphis charter bus.

Memphis Zoo

The Memphis Zoo in Midtown was built in 1906, and today is one of the top-ranked zoos in the United States. It features nineteen animal exhibits, and offers visitors the chance to see such animals as giant pandas, tigers, fennec foxes, meerkats, Komodo dragons, polar bears, sea lions, and more. The zoo also holds several special events every year — so don’t miss an opportunity to take a look at Memphis party bus rentals and check out the Haunted Forest, Zoo Lights, or one of the many other going-on at the Memphis Zoo.

Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum

Down on Beale Street, you’ll find the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum, which tells the story of those musical pioneers who overcame hardship and discrimination to bring their brand of music to the world. If you want to learn the real history of Beale Street and the music that came from this part of Memphis, check out the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum’s exhibits, which range from the days of Sun Records in the 50s to the explosion of soul music in the 60s and 70s.
