A Seattle program we ran this summer: Microsoft’s downtown-to-Redmond shuttle
For four weeks in August 2026, a 25-passenger minibus left the State Hotel at 1501 2nd Avenue at 9:15 every weekday morning, crossed SR 520 to Microsoft Building 3 at 15885 NE 36th Street in Redmond, and brought the same 25 people back downtown at 3 PM. The program was built for a Microsoft summer cohort staying in one hotel and working on one part of the campus, and it ran on a contracted day rate of $1,250 per bus per day.
That number is the point. A daily route is priced as a day rate, not as a charter: the operator commits a specific vehicle and driver to you for the term, the morning and afternoon legs are one booking, and the cost per seat per service day on this program came to $50. The same vehicle hired by the hour for two separate trips a day would have cost more and would not have been the same bus and driver each morning. Our published Seattle shuttle range is $850 to $1,450 per bus per day depending on the vehicle, the hours and the term; this program sat in the upper half of it because it was a short, four-week commitment with a split morning and afternoon schedule. Longer terms and single-shift routes price lower.
