Denver Charter Buses
One of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, Denver is the largest city in the Rocky Mountain region, with a population of over 600,000 people in the city and 3 million in the metropolitan area. Denver offers sprawling natural beauty, a thriving performing arts scene, and many museums, festivals, and events year-round.
Transportation in and Around Denver
Visitors to Denver by air will most likely arrive by the Denver International Airport, otherwise known as DIA, about eighteen miles northeast of Denver’s downtown. DIA is served by Frontier, United, and Southwest, as well as Air Canada, British Airways, Icelandair and other international providers. From the airport, visitors can take one of several SkyRide buses to “Park and Ride” destinations in the city. There are also airport shuttles that travel between DIA and the city. The Denver airport can be quite crowded, so expect possible delays and allow for plenty of time before or after your flight.
Amtrak serves Denver via the California Zephyr line, which passes through Denver between Emeryville in California and Chicago, Illinois. Travelers can also arrive in Denver by Greyhound (at the downtown station not far from Coors Field), or via Autobus Americanos, which provides bus service to and from Mexico.
By highway, Denver is accessible via I-25, I70, and I-76. I-225 and I-270 cross through the Denver area. Traffic in Denver can be seriously congested. Fortunately, there are also some toll roads on the highway, for those looking to avoid problems with rush hour traffic. The most common toll roads are E-470 and the Northwest Parkway.
Outside of downtown, renting a car or hiring a charter bus is the most convenient way to get around the city. As Denver is one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States, the city has encountered some problems keeping up with infrastructure, particularly when it comes to public transportation. Visitors looking to travel by vehicle without dealing with parking or traffic can hire a bus from Metropolitan Shuttle.
